JM Boxing Day n Eid Mubarak..

Hope u had a blast one..:) Thought of crapping my experience going to the first boxing day ever in Malaysia on 16th August..yeah I went to the so called Jovian Mandagie's boxing day. Malaysia pun ada boxing day.Haha. Man, i never thought i would've done this. The craziest, I promise no more after this. I think I've been possessed by the extraordinary ghost from Jovian's in Ramadhan I felt soooo much fun spending $$$ on some clothes without feeling an ounce of guilt. Have foreseen the volume of crowd that might turn up, since this is a zerious business plus for other reasons (haha) we stayed at Concorde which is just a walking distance, across Shangri-La hotel,the venue of the event.

A day before i've been whatsapping Erny, a new friend I knew through FB/Instagram from Johor. She'd be staying in Concorde as well just for the JRTW (Jovian's Ready To Wear), so we planned to go for the mission together. Haha. Sahur at Concorde was around 11pm-4 am and guess what time we walked to Shangri-La...yups it was Erny's idea we had our sahur at 4 and getting ready to set off for JRTW minutes after. So semangat. The event even started at 8 am..Tsk. One of the rules at the boxing day is that only maximum total of 10 items allowed to be purchased per person and Erny tagged her husband along so her hubby can top up the purchase for her. Kudos!

When we arrived at Shangri-La's hall 10minutes later, there were a bunch of girls already there and some of them started queuing at 3am! (jaw dropped, siap bawak bantal).I thought we were the most early birds! .Haha. There were two type of lanes in the hall, the fast lane and the boxing lane. The fast lane is for those who already know their sizes (just fill in the form which JRTW u want and the sizes) and the boxing lane is for those who want to try (limited to 4 pieces to try at a time).We've purchased Jovian's before so we queued at the fast lane of cos.

the hall still empty... with other new friends I met, we were happy shopaholic mothers.Look at the girl who's texting, she was at the very front line, I wonder what time she came..

At5-6 am the crowds getting bigger. Some brought McD and had their sahur at the hall.Lol. Nearly at 8 am everyone getting ready to stand up and join the proper queue. I was the sixth person on the line, handed over my shopping form and get all my JRTW before 9 o'clock. Phew, mission accomplished, what a relief I got all I wanted with extra pieces that i dont even have in mind at the first place . Ok not all are mine, I was extra kind helping friends to get their JRTW as well. But I feel sorry to those who still came as early as at 6.00 am didnt get the designs and the sizes they wanted. There were mostly taken by the earlier birds.;p

I was rushing back to Concorde since my baby's waiting, and couldn't stay any longer for the appearance of Mr Designer himself about an hour later. But heard he's going to host Jovian Raya Open House for his fans. Good2..Everyone can go boria beramai2...

Now I think I have more than enough traditional clothes this year until Raya Haji or even next year..（┰_┰）..eh Mr Jov, when is Jezebel wanna come out???me want...ok *slap face*

Post raya 2011...

Nothing much to update on. Wow time sure does fly in a jiffy when u're in your best mood. Suddenly Ramadhan is over, raya holiday was like a dream and now u're at the office, back to reality with files and bosses chasing your butt.. But true, I still wanna enjoy my raya holiday. I dunno while I hate office so much these days, negative aura here and there, 3 days of working after raya holiday is like 3 weeks already. I wanted to resign and become a housewife , taking care of Hana. But thinking that I don't have extra talent like making fancy cupcakes or sewing for extra side income, better put that daydream aside. hahah. duh,cant wait for weekend.

Still in the month of Syawal, its never too late to wish everyone who stumble upon this blog Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir Batin. Overall I had great time spending raya be it at in laws (first n 2nd raya) and at parents house the following days. It was awesome since this is my first raya as a mommy!Raya was truly much much fun with Hana around, excited to doll her up, guess raya holidays were too short she didn't manage to get fashion up with all her new raya outfit. Its ok then, raya kan sebulan.;p

Fasting...

Hows your fasting today?Mine is pretty much under control besides worrying too much that it will deplete my milk supply for Hana. Yups i am very concern about doing this whilst I am still exclusively breastfeeding..I have read numerous articles mentioning that nursing while fasting somehow will not only affect the quantity but also the quality of the breast milk. Hana's turning 6 month old this month and I'm about to start giving her solid so she has other eating option besides milk especially during this fasting month. So there's other alternatives, there is no reasonable excuse not to fast although breastfeed women have that special permission during Ramadhan..hehe.

I think as long as I don't skip sahur and drink plenty of water I'll be fine.;)

So happy fasting everyone and let's make the best of it since we've been given another opportunity by Him to experience this again.

TODAY...

So today i turned 28...

Yeah i no longer care. At least I believe it is 28. Twenty seven was a good year, and hopefully twenty eight would be much2 better. I keep telling myself as long as i still in my twenties and the big 3,0 is still 2 years away ,I think im ok with it. I can pretend not to notice. As i grow older or should I say mature (heh) to me, whenever a birthday rolled around is a HUGE reminder of the goodness of God, that He's giving me chance to live up until this point, to get married, to have a baby and to be a mommy. As long as I still have my wonderful family and great bunch of friends all around I guess getting older is not a big deal. And with the presence of our little extension earlier this year my 28 years of life will definitely be much more colourful and challenging in a good way of cos. i'm glad to say she's now the reason that i keep on willing to learn and unfold myself into the best self that I can.

Syawal 2010...

Raya mood still on and all around lorr..I still hate the fact that loong raya break is over and now back to normal routine. Pretending to ignore the piling work! Shesh.

This raya it's my turn to celebrate the first day of raya at my hometown. Last year was at hubby's. So i had the chance to taste mom's cooking especially lemang with rendang and kuah kacang. There are my favourites...tho we don't have any real ketupat in the house since none of the family members know how to anyam ketupat, just good in preparing the express ketupat Nona . (Itupun hangus 33 packs pada malam raya since semua orang sibuk main bunga api kat luar or isi duit dalam sampul sampai tak de sape yang tengokkan air yang dah kering!. The result, beli yang lain and rebus balik.huhu) By the way, still managed to taste the real ketupat when we got back to in law's house the second day of raya coz my father in law is good at anyam the ketupat.

We are blessed because my parents and parents in law's house takes only about 1 hour and a half journey away, so going back to PIL's house on the second day of raya and returned to my parent's house on the fifth of raya then to PIL's again on the seventh day like a nomad was not a big hassle.except poor hubby had to do the driving while i was just enjoying my beauty sleep in the car. (hey, i just figure out that i spent more extra days at PIL's house ! tak aci ni!!..)

So my raya was pretty routine, visiting relatives in kampung, testing and commenting the taste of kuih raya in every houses visits, giving duit raya to siblings and smaller cousins, loading the tummy with glorious food and etc. The different is, starting this year we adding another new routine- visiting our baby's grave. We went there only on the third day of raya since the graveyard situated nearby my PIL's house. I noticed there were another two new small graves besides my baby's grave and mom in law said my baby now has new friends. Yups.He got some new companions to play with. I'm hoping that he doesn't forget this mama that carried him for a good 9 months because she always misses him and think about him a lot. Ok, enough talking about my baby before I get too emotional and sentimental.

Many have asked when i want to do my open house, well the answer is my house always open and feel free to come if u want to taste the kuih raya kering only. Hehe...

Ramadhan 2010

How's your fasting today..Mine Alhamdulillah and so far it's not a big deal for me except I just can't wait to snooze in the office everytime the clock strikes 1 pm. That's the time my stomach will grumble and the mind will automatically thinking about food. Not sure whether it's from me or the extra thingy inside the tummy..heh. Honestly I'm truthfully thankful since this year I'll have the opportunity to fast during the whole 30 days of Ramadhan again, hopefully without a miss..Insya-Allah.

I'm hoping that I can embrace all the challenges during this Holy Month, and one of them is cooking for buka puasa. Deciding what to cook (plus for sahur too!) is the other challenging stuff since I have a very limited knowledge in terms of food recipes. teet.. like this morning for sahur we only ate roti arab together with canned chicken curry (forgot the brand, but with the Chef Wan's face on the label..heh). How rajin is that. But trust me for this month I'm trying to cook as frequent as i can and minimise buka puasa outside (give a pat on the shoulder.). I believe the food we eat or cook at home is healthier than the outside food rite..Say no to Ajinomoto..tibe je.

Still not too late to wish everyone out there a Happy Ramadhan. May Allah rewards us with His mercy and forgiveness during this special month..Ameen..

Ramadhan is here again!!

Blog ini mengucapkan Selamat Menyambut Bulan Ramadhan yang semakin hampir. Tahniah kepada yang telah berjaya mengganti puasa dan kepada yang masih tabah berpuasa disaat2 akhir, selamat berbuka puasa diucapkan.;) (sape suruh tak ganti awal2..haha)

Puasa tahun ni mungkin agak mencabar jugakla. Sebab first time berpuasa di bulan Ramadhan sejak berkahwin dan of cos acara yang paling mendebarkan ialah acara memasak untuk bersahur atau berbuka. Biasa belije atau orang lain yang masakkan, tapi tahunni confirm kena masak sendiri.Nervous pasal nak rasa masin tawar dalam masakan sebab tak reti nak agak kalau puasa.(Kalau tak puasa, mesti dekat 10 kali rasa garam masa memasak). Ya ampun..And sangatla berharap puasa tahunni penuh sebab dah takde apa2 pengecualian sebab pregnant.;)

Disarankan supaya tidak berlebihan ketika membelanjakan duit di pasar Ramadhan dan semoga kita dapat menjalani ibadah puasa dengan khusyuk, lebih bersedekah dan membuat amalan-amalan yang diredhai dan diberkati Allah. Insya-Allah.

Farewell 2007...

As we are going to bid goodbye to 2007 tonight, I’m planning to list down some New Year resolutions in my checklist, which I usually ignored in the past few years since I used to find them difficult to keep. Like the cliché goes, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. We've all got our roadmaps for 2008 - we may not accomplish everything this year, but we will accomplish more, than if we just let things happen. I don’t know where to start but I’m going to go for small goals instead of overwhelming myself with the impossible ones. Let’s keep ‘em for myself then.

A lot of things happened to me this year. And a lot of things will be changing the next year. There is a huge amount of uncertainty, but there's also possibility. Looking forward for a better achievement in my career, the relationship with the loved one, family as well as in the circle of what we called friendship. 2007 filled with bitter sweet memories, it hasn't been the end of the journey...yet and a little optimism goes a long way…

WISH U ALL A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR…Don’t live in the past..head straight for tomorrow and the better life ahead..

Singing in the rain..

The weather here may seem to have improved over the past few days, and I’m hoping that I can make my way home tomorrow although the floods worsen in Pahang with the number of evacuees increasing to more than 20,000.heh,that’s what I read in the newspaper today. yes, pretty scary. Personally, that never been a concern to me since whenever it happens, it just involves certain potential flood area in my hometown..But I’m praying that it doesn’t affect the LPT or whatever roads that I’m going to use tomorrow. Dear flood,pls get off my way,cos I want to celebrate my raya and my holiday at home..huhu.

Somehow,I like walking in the rain even when it’s raining cats and dogs…I only use an umbrella at times when I can’t afford to be wet. And yesterday when I want to use it, I realized it was missing. Probably someone has stole my umbrella when I left it outside the court..ish,payung 5 ringgit beli kat tepi lrt masjid jamek pun nak curike..!!

And I’m sneezing badly today...

My heart wrenched when my aunt told me yesterday that the body of a girl found in a sports bag last Monday is that of eight year old Nurin Jazlin.My aunt used to teach Nurin when she was 6 years old two years ago at Tadika Kemas Bunga Raya,Wangsa Maju and she keeps talking about her since the little girl was reported missing about a month ago.As she flipped through the album and showed me Nurin's photo (during their zoo trip), I was completely devastated about it. I hope God will punish the murderer for the brutal killing of that innocent girl to commensurate with what has been done to her.

If it's really Nurin, I extend my hearty condolences towards Nurin's family and may God bless her soul and pray for such cruel and inhuman act would not happened to any other children.

May she rest in peace and may Allah place her in Jannah...Al-Fatihah..

Ramadhan is here...

Ramadhan is already here...Alhamdulilah, we all are blessed to see another Ramadhan and hopefully next year and so on. Perhaps a bit wiser, a bit kinder, too, a little bit braver, a heart that's more true, a touch of believing I've not known before, in joys I'm receiving a little bit more. A little more anxious to reach out my hand, despite hurt or problems to still understand, accepting the heartache that life often brings, a little more beauty in life's simple things. A prayer when I'm weary as onward I trod, a little more trusting, believing in God..

To all Muslims, Happy Fasting.. May the Grace of God Almighty be upon all in this momentous month,a month of peace, month of blessings, month of hope, month of forgiveness. . May Allah forgive us and bless us all with his divine mercy,Insya-Allah..and don't forget to those less fortunate than yourselves in your prayers.

BIRTHDAY BASH...

3 of my friends, Sasha, Hida and Afzan turned 24 years old on March. Getting a year older is inevitable and unavoidable, so no matter what, u still have to face it..hehe don’t worry la guys, people always said a year older, a year wiser..so u guys should be proud of your new age( ikhlas ni..hehe).

So yesterday after work, we had a small gathering at Mid Valley, to celebrate these 3 girls birthday, plus the ‘sendirian berhad bayar sendiri2 dinner’ at Nando’s..heh. It was nice to see everybody, after everybody ‘been busy’ for quite sometime and glad to listen to everybody’s stories and gossips etc as usual. Walaupun penat tapi still boleh membuat havoc dikhalayak ramai.
Hehe. Sha, thanx for the cute and yummy cup cakes, guess we should do this gathering thingy more often, seriously..
